For the Referrer (Rider)
Summary
Thank you for inviting friends to Green SM. For each new user who signs up with your referral code and completes their first trip, you receive a 50% discount on one future trip, up to a maximum of EUR 10 per discount.
- You earn one discount for each valid referral: a new user who signs up with your code and completes a qualifying first trip.
- You can earn discounts for up to 20 valid referrals per month.
- A new user is someone who has never previously held a Green SM account. Green SM may verify eligibility using reasonable and proportionate checks. A phone number, email address or device previously associated with another account will not automatically disqualify a new user where they can reasonably demonstrate that they are a different individual. The new user must register in the Netherlands.
- A first trip qualifies when it is a ride-hailing trip booked through the Green SM app, has been finished and paid in full, was not cancelled during the trip, has not been fully refunded, was not paid with Corporate Billing, and was completed while the promotion is running.
- Each discount applies to one ride-hailing trip booked through the Green SM app, and only one discount can be used per trip.
- Each discount is valid for 30 days from the date it is added to your account.
- The discount applies to the trip fare only. Additional fees such as tolls, parking and waiting time are charged separately and are not discounted.
- Valid for all payment methods except Corporate Billing.
- Cannot be combined with other promo codes or referral benefits.
- Green SM drivers who refer riders take part in the Driver Referral Programme instead.
- Where Green SM has reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or misuse, it may temporarily withhold disputed referral discounts pending reasonable investigation. Any decision to cancel discounts or restrict participation will be proportionate and based on the available evidence. You will be informed of the reasons and may request an individual review.
- The Programme runs from 12 October 2026 until 31 January 2027, unless Green SM announces an extension through its official communication channels. Green SM will provide at least 14 days’ notice before ending the Programme early or reducing referral benefits, except where immediate action is legally required. Discounts already validly earned will remain available until their original expiry dates.

1. Organiser
1.1 The Rider Referral Programme (the “Programme”) is operated by Green SM in the Netherlands (“Green SM”, “we”). By taking part, you agree to these terms and to Green SM’s general terms and conditions for the use of its services (the “General Terms”).
1.2 If a specific campaign has additional conditions, they will be shown in the app together with the campaign.
2. Who can refer
2.1 To take part as a referrer (“Referrer”), you must be at least 18 years old and have an active Green SM rider account that has been issued a referral code.
2.2 Each person may use only one Green SM account to take part in the Programme.
2.3 Green SM drivers who refer riders take part in the Driver Referral Programme and not in this Programme.
3. Who can be referred
3.1 The person who signs up with your referral code (“Referee”) must be at least 18 years old and a new rider. A new rider is someone who has never had a Green SM account. A person is not a new rider if an account was ever registered with the same phone number, email address or device, even if that account was later deleted or closed.
3.2 The Referrer and the Referee must both be registered in the Netherlands, and the Referee’s qualifying first trip must be completed in the Netherlands.
3.3 A referral is not valid if the Referee is the same person as the Referrer, if the accounts share a device, phone number, email address or payment method, or if the Referee has more than one account.
3.4 Green SM may carry out reasonable checks to confirm these conditions.
4. Rewards
4.1 For each valid referral, you receive a 50% discount on one future ride-hailing trip booked through the Green SM app, up to EUR 10 per discount. A referral is valid when the Referee meets clause 3 and completes a qualifying first trip. You can receive rewards for up to 20 valid referrals per month.
4.2 A “qualifying first trip” is the first trip that the Referee completes after signing up with the Referrer’s code, and that:
(a) is a ride-hailing trip booked through the Green SM app;
(b) has been finished and the amount due has been paid in full;
(c) was not cancelled during the trip and has not been fully refunded;
(d) was not paid with Corporate Billing; and
(e) was completed while the promotion is running.
4.3 The discount is added to your account after Green SM has verified the qualifying first trip.
4.4 Each discount applies to one trip only, and only one discount can be used per trip. Each discount is valid for 30 days from the date it is added to your account, after which it expires.
4.5 The discount applies to the trip fare only. Tolls, parking, waiting time and other additional fees are charged separately. It is valid for all payment methods except Corporate Billing, and cannot be combined with other promo codes or referral benefits.
4.6 Rewards have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another account.
5. How you may share your code
5.1 Your referral code is for personal, non-commercial use. You may share it with friends, family and people you know. You may not:
(a) publish the code on coupon, voucher or deal websites, or buy, sell or trade referral codes;
(b) use paid advertising, including bidding on “Green SM” or similar search terms, to promote your code;
(c) send unsolicited messages (spam) to people you do not know;
(d) offer money, gifts or other incentives to people to sign up or take trips;
(e) make false or misleading statements about Green SM or the programme, or use Green SM’s logo, images or content without permission.
5.2 You must follow the law, including marketing rules, when you share your code.
6. Fraud and abuse
6.1 Creating multiple accounts, referring yourself, fake or manipulated trips, using bots or automated tools, interfering with our systems, and giving false information are not allowed.
6.2 If we have reasonable grounds to suspect any of these, we may withhold or cancel the related rewards, exclude you from the Programme and, in serious cases, suspend or close your account in accordance with the General Terms.
6.3 We will inform you of our decision and the reason for it. If you disagree, you can contact us through the in-app Help Center, give us any information you consider relevant and ask for a review by a member of our staff. We will reply promptly.
7. Personal data
7.1 Green SM processes personal data in connection with the Programme in accordance with the privacy notice that Green SM makes available to you as a rider (the “Privacy Notice”). This includes your referral code, the link between you and the Referee, trip data needed to confirm a qualifying first trip, and identifiers such as phone number, email address, device ID, IP address and payment method, which we use to detect duplicate accounts and misuse. The Privacy Notice explains the legal basis, how long data is kept and your rights.
7.2 We will only inform you that a referral has been completed. We will not share the Referee’s name or trip details with you.
8. Changes and termination
8.1 The promotion runs from 12 October 2026 until 31 January 2027 or until further notice.
8.2 We may change, suspend or end the Programme for valid reasons, for example changes in law, misuse of the Programme or changes in market conditions. We will give at least 14 days’ notice in the app before the Programme ends or before changes that reduce the rewards.
8.3 Rewards already earned before a change or ending remain valid until their original expiry date. We may end an individual’s participation with immediate effect if we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or abuse.
9. Governing law and consumer rights
9.1 These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
For the Referee (New Rider)

Welcome to Green SM. Sign up with a friend’s referral code and get 50% off your first 2 trips, up to a maximum of EUR 10 per trip.
- Only available to new users aged 18 or over who have never previously held a Green SM account. Green SM may carry out reasonable eligibility checks. Sharing a phone number, email address or device with a previously registered account will not automatically disqualify you where you can reasonably demonstrate that you are a different individual.
- The referral code must be entered while creating your account and before booking your first trip.
- You must sign up in the Netherlands, the same country as the person who referred you, and take the trips in the Netherlands.
- The discount is valid for 30 days from the date it is added to your account. If a discounted trip is fully refunded, you can still use the discount on a later trip within this period.
- The discount applies to the trip fare only. Tolls, parking, waiting time and other additional fees are charged separately.
- Valid for all payment methods except Corporate Billing.
- Cannot be combined with other promo codes.
- Green SM may remove the discount if we have reasonable grounds to suspect abuse or fraud. You can ask us to review any decision.

1.1 The referral offer for new riders is operated by Green SM in the Netherlands (“Green SM”, “we”). By signing up with a referral code, you agree to these terms and to Green SM’s general terms and conditions for the use of its services (the “General Terms”).

2. Who can take part
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and a new rider. A new rider is someone who has never had a Green SM account. A person is not a new rider if an account was ever registered with the same phone number, email address or device, even if that account was later deleted or closed.
2.2 You may hold only one Green SM account. The referral code must belong to a Green SM rider registered in the Netherlands. You may not use your own referral code or participate through duplicate or fraudulent accounts. Where accounts share a device, phone number, email address or payment method, Green SM may carry out reasonable and proportionate checks to determine eligibility. Sharing such identifiers shall not automatically result in disqualification where the individuals concerned can reasonably demonstrate that they are different persons and there is no evidence of fraud or misuse.
2.3 You must enter the referral code while creating your account and before booking your first trip.
3. Your discount
3.1 You receive a 50% discount on each of your first two eligible ride-hailing trips booked through the Green SM app and taken in the Netherlands, up to a maximum discount of EUR 10 per trip. The discounts will be made available in your account following registration with a valid referral code and completion of the applicable eligibility checks, in time for use on your first eligible trip.
3.2 Each discount is valid for 30 calendar days from the date it becomes available in your Green SM account. The applicable expiry date will be displayed in the app. Where a discounted trip is fully refunded, the discount may be used again on another eligible trip before its original expiry date.
3.3 The 50% discount applies only to the eligible trip fare, up to a maximum discount of EUR 10 per trip. Tolls, parking, waiting time and other additional fees are excluded from the discount and remain payable in full. The discount is available for all accepted payment methods except Corporate Billing and cannot be combined with other promotional codes.
3.4 The discount has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another account.
4. Fraud and abuse
4.1 Creating multiple accounts, using a code you are not entitled to use, and giving false information are not allowed. Green SM may carry out reasonable checks to confirm that you are eligible.
4.2 Where Green SM has reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or misuse, it may temporarily suspend the disputed discount while conducting a reasonable investigation. Any decision to cancel or reverse a discount, or suspend or close an account, shall be proportionate, based on the available evidence and consistent with applicable Dutch law and the General Terms. The rider shall be informed of the reasons for the decision and may request an individual review.
4.3 We will inform you of our decision and the reason for it. If you disagree, you can contact us through the in-app Help Center, give us any information you consider relevant and ask for a review by a member of our staff. We will reply promptly.
5. Personal data
5.1 You provide your own information when you sign up and enter the referral code. Green SM processes personal data in connection with the offer in accordance with the privacy notice that Green SM makes available to you as a rider (the “Privacy Notice”). This includes your referral code, registration data, and identifiers such as phone number, email address, device ID, IP address and payment method, which we use to check eligibility and prevent misuse. The Privacy Notice explains the legal basis, how long data is kept and your rights.
5.2 We will only inform the person who referred you that a referral has been completed. We will not share your name or trip details with them.
6. Changes and termination
6.1 The promotion runs from 12 October 2026 until 31 January 2027 or until further notice.
6.2 Green SM may amend, suspend or terminate the Programme for valid reasons, including changes in applicable law, fraud, misuse or material operational circumstances. Green SM will provide at least 14 days’ advance notice through the Green SM app before introducing changes that adversely affect participants, except where immediate action is legally required. Discounts already validly granted shall remain available until their original expiry dates, subject to the applicable fraud and misuse provisions.
7. Governing law and consumer rights
7.1 These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
8. Limitation of liability
8.1 Green SM shall not be liable for delays or failures in providing promotional discounts caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, provided that Green SM has taken reasonable measures to prevent or mitigate such circumstances. This limitation shall not affect discounts already validly granted, the Referee’s statutory consumer rights, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable Dutch law.
